Viña Tarapacá

Viña Tarapacá, one of the most traditional and experienced wineries in Chile, was founded in 1874 in the Maipo Valley near Santiago, in the shadow of the Andes. Planted with European rootstock from the great estate of Burgundy and Bordeaux, Viña Tarapacá has developed remarkable wines which have earned international prestige and success and have becoming the benchmark for the Chilean winemaking industry.

The Tarapacá estate now houses a state-of-the-art winemaking facility in which every improvement in the industry has been carefully implemented. Temperature-controlled stainless steel fermentation vessels and Bucher presses are installed above the original brick cellars, where the wines still undergo traditional maturation in French and American oak barrels. The very finest in modern technology goes hand-in-hand with time-honored tradition to create the wines of Viña Tarapacá.

Tarapacá is located in Maipo Valley, Chile, managing 850 hectares of the main varieties, a 14 million liters warehouse capacity and packaging lines of more than 13 million bottles. Oriented to the fine and premium wine market, it has presence in Chile and abroad, with a wide range of varietals, reserves, Great Reserve and a line of Premium wines, being the leader in fine wines segment in Chile and having the fourth place between national exporters.

Viña Tarapacá´s wide brands portfolio is oriented to satisfy different consumer segments, those who prefer full bodied and character wines, with the perfect marriage between grape and wood; unique and complex wines, as a result of the blend of different grape varieties and the extraction of the character of each terroir, or wines where the fruity character of the stock predominates.
